The master bathroom was a small, narrow space that was dark and dreary. The client wanted a bright, airy, and feminine space that was simple and reflected her style.
I began this project by selecting a creamy white and beige color pallet for the room. We used a large rectangular floor tile that was ceramic but had a stone look to it. We used a simple quartz on the counters for durability and utilized a simple glazed beige subway tile for the shower and tub area. I added a matching mosaic tile for the border to accent the shower and tub area and used a frame less shower enclosure to make the space feel open. With the client’s love for florals, we used artwork reflecting that stylistic taste. Additionally, the simple window treatments have a floral embroidery that brings in the tiffany blue that was accented in the master bedroom. The lighting and cabinet knobs are accented with crystal. We elected to keep the large mirror and added a custom frame to pull the room together. Lastly, we finished with a soft rug. With her newly designed master bath, the client no longer has a dark and dreary space.
