The master bedroom is a small space that the client wanted to be a soft, feminine space. She wanted a queen size bed and requested a bench a the back of the bed.
Since space was smaller, I decided to keep all the walls a light beige color and used a tone-on-tone ivory wallpaper on the wall behind the bed. The wallpaper we selected has a traditional medallion design with a metallic sparkle in the paper. We selected a linen fabric upholstered bed with an antiqued pewter finish. We kept the room feeling feminine with the beautiful curves of the bed frame and the tufted headboard and with the use of the soft tiffany blue. I used deep finished nightstands to add contrast with the light colors in the room and to pick up on the darker gray fabrics in the bedding. The focal wall was really pulled together through the use of the artwork above the nightstands and the mirrored candle holders above the bed. The stationary panels are in soft ivory with an accent banding, giving it a soft added touch. Finally, the bench at the back of the bed has soft curves in a taupe finish with tiffany blue fabric. This master bedroom is warm, cozy and definitely shows off the client’s beautiful personality and style.
