Project Overview:

For a townhouse, the master bedroom is a good size. My client wanted to keep it simple with only a king size bed, end tables and a dresser. She wanted the space to be relaxing and airy, yet sophisticated.

My client wanted a more neutral color pallet of grays with an accent of blue violet. We chose to add an accent wall behind the bed in the blue violet while painting the other walls a gray. We used a plush carpet in a soft off-white/taupe color for the flooring. We selected an upholstered bed in a linen with gray geometric bedding, reflecting well against the blue violet wall. We added casegoods in a soft gray stain finish and wall decor, a mirror and lamps in chrome metals to reflect the light in the room. We finish the window with stationary panels in an off-white fabric with metallics running through the fabric. Adding a touch of elegance to the room, at the end of the bed we utilized a simple chrome bench with a blue violet plush velvet fabric. Adding a modern ceiling fan brings an updated look to the room. We added minimal accessories to keep the bedroom feeling open and spacious. The client raves about her relaxing, beautiful space.
